Summary
Le Son du Silence is an Aikido and internal practices school founded on the integration of martial arts with Zen Buddhism.
I designed and built their showcase website using WordPress with the Semplice theme, working on a minimalist and contemplative aesthetic that reflects the school’s philosophy.

Context
Le Son du Silence school wanted a website that reflects their unique philosophy: the union of authentic martial practice with Zen meditation. The site needed to present their spiritual approach, their different dojos, as well as the practices offered (Aikido, Taoist internal practices, yoga).
The challenge was to create a digital experience that conveys the serenity and depth of their teaching.
My role was to:
Conduct interviews to understand the client’s needs and vision
Design and build the website using WordPress with Semplice
Result
The website reflects the meditative spirit of the school through a clean design, generous use of whitespace, and evocative visuals. The user experience was designed to be fluid and calming, in line with the teaching philosophy.
